Touring Vancouver, Canada

Vancouver is not the biggest city in Canada, but is one of the finest cities to live all over the world. The city increased in groundbreaking programs, availability, and other extras that make it one of the world’s most livable cities. However, apart from being a livable city, Vancouver is also a great place to stopover because of its Canadian charms. These charms are one of the best things about Vancouver.

The mixture of modern urban life, wrapped in a stunning mountainous region, provides a different experience for those visiting Vancouver, one of the best cities to live in. A very famous place to visit in Vancouver is the “Canada Place.” This attraction is built in a stunning architectural design and can definitely make your holiday with a bang. You can find cinemas and museums here. This place is not just your ordinary conference center. Concealed in the jungle of Vancouver is one of the most exciting spectacles of the city – the Capilano Suspension Bridge, it is hanging over 200 feet above the river. If it won’t still be enough for those who are adventurous and nature lovers, I would recommend that you go to Treetops Adventure it offers a series of suspension bridges firmly set on a giant fir.

Families who are in a more present-day nature-lover and are not too devoted with emotions brought on suspension bridges can tour of the Vancouver Aquarium in the city center. The aquarium has a number of activities, such as watching the beluga whales and dolphins, and feeding of sea otters. What’s good about this is that some of the funds collected by the aquarium go to foundations and organizations devoted to securing sea creatures.

Grouse Mountain is another popular attraction in Vancouver, especially during the winter season. It the highest peak in the city and offers a wide variety of snow activities like skiing, Helitours, snowshoeing and ice skating. Skiing in Vancouver is one of the most ideal things to do in Canada. It also has a warehouse in the preservation of endangered species in where gray wolves and grizzly bears are protected. Tourists who have no experience with skiing need not to worry in travelling in this destination because it has its own ski school and ski instructors with experience.

Your visit to Vancouver won’t be complete if you won’t visit the historic Gastown. This place is like taking you back centuries ago for you to discover how people lived here. A trip to this town is both enjoyable and educational. It is as if you are discovering the place and the town’s historical roots. Aside from preparing for your trip and where to go, it is also important that you consider the weather. The winter months are from around November to April, while summer is warm and dry. The city is perfect for those who enjoys and love outdoor activities. There is much to do in their parks and forests and most of the time the weather plays an important role. As I said awhile ago, for those travelling in winter there are plenty of winter activities to choose from. Cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, tubing and snowshoeing are some of the most famous winter activities. The city also is about 80 miles from the resort of Whistler, and about 30 minutes drive from the Mountain Cypress so there is certainly no lack of fun in the snow.

But of course, summer is also an ideal time to visit Vancouver. July and August are the best months for swimming activities in the beach. There are beaches in Vancouver, including coastal BC, Vancouver Island and Queen Charlotte Islands.
